In the beginning
ByI find myself, much like Captain Picard (man I miss that show!), exploring a strange new world and new civilization. Boldly blogging where….many have gone before. I hope over the coming weeks and months to record my thoughts and opinions of various MMOs. I hope it will be an enjoyable experience and allow me to voice some of the thoughts and opinions I’ve formed over the last 13 years or so of online gaming.
If you have yet to read my pages, give them a look see to find out a little more about me and how to get in touch. You might also want to peek at the “My Characters” page to see what names, guilds and games I’ve been associated with the most the last several years. I may know you from somewhere!
Again, welcome to TSID. The cookies and punch are on the back table. Be sure to sign in and get a nametag.
Welcome to the blogosphere. Like Captain Picard, your main challenge is not to get caught and assimilated by the enemy (podcasters! jk).
Thanks Aaron – I’m looking forward to doing a long range scan of the blogosphere to see what’s out there. I’m glad to know a fellow Texan is out there as well. Thanks for the well wishes!
If you live around Austin, maybe you can join some of us for a beer around the time of the Austin Game Conference: September 5-7. So far, I think Craig, Tami, Brent, and Michael are all planning on going, and I’ll be there.
I’m about 5 hours from Austin, and with it being in the middle of the week, there’s probably no way I could make it. I’d love to meet everyone and take some pics. Are you guys on the panels at GDC or just attending as press?
But..if there is ever a weekend thing going on in Austin involving bloggers/gaming/mmos, let me know. I could definitely drive down for something like that.
