You forgot "Who the hell was Odin?" I.e. some marginal member who was never part of anything logs on and quits, and no one even really knows who he was or if any drama happened.

These may be among the most common, but since they tend to affect only fringe members, they tend to be forgotten, since losing those members has low emotional impact.

I think I've come across all of those. The Identity Crisis, in my personal experience, was the most fun to watch. Long story short, the Guild Leader (girl) and First Officer (guy) were dating IRL but (apparently) had never met. Then the FO comes to find out that the GL is actually a guy who has been tricking him this whole time. Man, did the sparks fly on that one! The Angry /gquit is usually lots of fun as well.
I've got one to add to the list. Call it the Downward Spiral. I joined a guild not too long ago that apparently just had some serious drama that caused a few members to leave, but it seemed like everything was past them now. About two weeks after I joined, something happened - still not sure what exactly - and guild members began leaving in droves. The next day the Guild Message was changed to "We're disbanding. Find another guild."

Meh, almost all of those sound like ways people quit when they are in a guild for the wrong reasons. Well, other than the graceful exit bit.

Up until this year, I've always joined or created guilds with a certain set of friends then built from there. They knew well in advance that I was severely burning out on WoW and I'd be leaving. My WoW raid group on the other hand, most did not know until I was saying all my goodbyes the day I sold everything on every character before deleting them. Yes, when I quit WoW, I quit it permanently! :)

Otherwise, I've quit a raid guild because it just wasn't fun. Regardless of how much challenge I may look for at any given time, bottom line: this is a game, not a second job. I don't enjoy that type of environment. So I guess leaving that for a more casual guild would be considered Greener Pastures.

Most recently I left my first LOTRO guild because they turned out to not be quite what they advertised themselves as. Making it mandatory to post weekly (minimum) on guild forums and mandatory to login to their Ventrilo server at all times you had any guilded character logged into the game... nope, sorry, not gonna do it. LOTRO has integrated VOIP, and unless I'm grouped with you, I don't need to listen to you, I'm happy with /gchat thank you very much. Not sure which category that would fit in. Perhaps Greener Pastures as well since I quickly found another guild ('scuse me, *kinship* whatever) that fits me well.
