Like many other folks out there...I am sort of a MMO "whore", for lack of a better word. I have played them all and most to max level and some raiding. I have to honestly say I think EQ2 offers the most complete package. From lore to looks it has the most and does it very well.

THAT is NOT a reason to come back though! The reason I play EQ2 still and probably will for a while is the Dev team as a whole. I may be wrong, but based on the product, the interviews, and the events I read about, this is a senior team that has hit their stride. They have good managment and a clear direction. EQ2 is moving in the right direction faster than any game out there.

THIS alone is NOT a reason to come back though! The foundation of EQ2 are the points above but the "tower" being built is the community. I have found it to be more adults than children and more MMO vets then newbs. You have public raids that happen regularly (on my server anyway) as well as several fun loving guilds to chose and call home.

Come back...you bet. Kunark is around the corner and builds off of all the points listed above! You may want to either wait or "mess around" until Kunark comes out and make a Sarnak for some totally new 1-20 content then hit EoF for 20-65 before you go back to Kunark. Essentially would be a new-game for you!

@ Aaron - well I have mainly been playing my newb character, now 13, so I haven't played around with the appearance feature as of yet. I may try to hop on my higher level guys and play around with it though. In concept, it sounds like a no lose situation - have all your stat based gear and still look great. What's not to like? But no, I haven't tried it out quite yet. Spent last night exploring Kelethin and taking a peek into Butcherblock and Lesser Faydark.

What do you think of the new equipment system? (the one that lets players wear some gear for stats and other gear for looks) I won't rejoin EQ2 anytime soon, but I fully intend to try it again at some point. That new gear system is the only change that has me itching to try it now though.
